JCCAE offers certifications in many different disciplines:

- Pastoral Crisis Counselor- Level I-II
- Faith Based Drug and Alcohol Chaplaincy

- Community Chaplaincy
- Disaster Response Chaplaincy
- Crisis Response Chaplaincy
- Prison and Jail Chaplaincy
Or
- Board Certified Basic Chaplain
- Board Certified Senior Chaplain
- Board Certified Master Chaplain
You can become a Board Certified Chaplain by completing the required courses for a particular field of study.
You must complete and pass the required training for that specific area before Board Certification will be approved.
You must become a member of the Joint Commission on Chaplain Accreditation and Education and remain a member in good standing.
REQUIREMENTS FOR BASIC, SENIOR AND MASTER CHAPLAIN ARE AS FOLLOWS:
To receive a Certification in Basic Chaplaincy you must have completed 3 JCCAE courses and provide verifiable documentation of 1 year of experience as a chaplain, pastor, emergency services worker, etc.
To receive a Certification as a Senior Chaplain you must have completed 5 JCCAE courses and provide verifiable documentation of 3 year of experience as a chaplain, pastor, emergency services worker, etc.
To receive a Certification as a Master Chaplain you must have completed 7 JCCAE courses and provide verifiable documentation of 5 year of experience as a chaplain, pastor, emergency services worker, etc. (Degrees will be considered.)
